Big opening of Louis Vuitton in Warsaw

We finally have it!
Louis Vuitton opened his first store in Poland. The big event took place in the Warsaw luxury shopping mall VitkAc.
It's a next step for LV, and a new one for Poland :)

Do you know how Louis Vuitton started?
Mr Louis Vuitton was born in 1821, in a small village of France, Anchay, not far away from Geneva. he learned how to use tools with his father who was a carpenter.
At 14 y. he walked (!) 400km to Paris. In 1837, he started to work as an apprentice packer-trunker. He was in charge of packing the traveling rich client's stuff in the trunks. Since 1852, he got in charge of the Empress Eugénie. Thanks to her, he got known in the high society.
That was a time where transportations had a big evolution turn and the aristocracy started the turism beyond borders. Louis Vuitton quickly understood that they need different luggages: luxury, functionality and innovation.
In 1854, he got married to Clémence-Émilie Parriaux, created the brand "Louis Vuitton" and opened his first store in Paris near Place Vendôme.
He invented there the flat-bottom trunks (they were rounded before), which makes them much easier to stack.

Around 1870, Louis Vuitton's sun, Georges, got into the family business and pushed his dad to develop the brand outside of France. The first foreign store opened in 1885 on Oxford Street in London, then in New York and Philadelphia.
To fight against counterfeiting (yes, it already existed), Louis Vuitton created the Damier Canvas pattern with the logo "Marque Louis Vuitton déposée" (Louis Vuitton registered trademark).
Louis Vuitton died in 1892. his son continue to develop his heritage, with the same succes than his father.
In 1896, he created the "Monogramme LV". We all know the succes it had and still have...
